Trought Solar Collector - test bench

1.5 meter wide, 1-meter height solar collectors installed on 2 axis tracker from Hanul Solar Energy, Korea.
This unit is to test CPV solar cell receivers from Emcore, sponsored by HanKuk Aerospace University.
Collector and reflector made with poly-carbonate mirror and reflection rate of 94% and have no distortion or refraction. 




  







Solar Tracking Boiler 7Kw

Solar Tracking Boiler, 3 meters in diameter with 24 petals 94% reflection mirror assemble provides over 4000Kcal/hour heat energy. 
Heat food-grade glycol to exchange heat absorption chiller unit for an air cooler.
Precision tracker made by Hanul Solar Energy, Korea, 245mm pole diameter on helical azimuth 2 arm pin twist 220' span to track the sun, use 24Vdc geared motor reduction rate of 5000:1 ratio. The bi-axial actuator controls the elevation 0-90' with the heavy-duty 24Vdc actuator 1" TM screw bar support the dish.





1/2" copper tube bending 24" in diameter installed in an aluminum housing.
The liquid reservoir connects to the tube and air gap venting valve installed on the top.
  









Secondary reflector to cover over 60' outer diameter from the center's primary reflection into the cavity receiver.
