Power generating devices using CPV cells are highly valued in deserts and tropical areas but are not suitable for monsoon climates with low direct normal irradiance.
The combination of the advantages of high and non-condensing methods can be effectively applied to the monsoon climate to improve effectiveness. In particular, when installed in a solar tracking device, the amount of total power generated is greatly increased due to the extended direct sunlight hours.
The production was completed with the help of KOSPO, but the four seasons have not been demonstrated yet.
The advantages of the high-concentration generator, the advantages of the low-cost PV module, and the tracking type are greatly improved by applying the tracking method.
In reality, it is widely known that sunlight is the most suitable environmentally friendly energy source. The investment must be made to meet the needs of the times when efficient and economical photovoltaic generation is required.
The economics analyzed that 3 megawatts scale of installation would make a break-even point of investment in 3 years due to the amount of accumulated power generation for the Korean market.

CPV+PV Solar Module over 35% efficiency ever built
Adding a low-cost silicon solar cell to the CPV module with fresnel solar concentration, and an adjoining triple-junction solar cell fabricated and experimented with a demonstration.
In the CPV module, the low-cost solar cell captures diffuse solar radiation penetrates the fresnel concentrator lens, and the triple-junction cell captures concentrated solar radiation.
The test results show that the power generated by a Fresnel lens-based CPV module with the silicon solar cell added more significant than that of the conventional CPV module by factor average of 1.5 or higher depending on the solar cell and lens.
